This retreat is for anyone seeking relaxation, personal growth, and connection through yoga, meditation, outdoor activities, and mindfulness practices.

Yes, you will want to have at least begun a practice of yoga. However, the yoga I’ll be sharing, while challenging to each individual, will be accessible to practitioners at every level.

Absolutely! If you have a partner or friend who would like to experience this empowering weekend, please choose the booking option for two people. Sharing this transformational retreat with someone close to you is such a gift.

The Himalayan Institute is a dry campus, and the consumption of alcohol, drugs, or other illicit substances is not permitted. The campus is also meat-free, and the consumption of meat is not allowed during the retreat. Designated smoking areas for cigarettes are available outside the main campus. This policy helps maintain the retreat’s focus on wellness and mindfulness.

Saturday afternoon we’ll take a guided group hike to a nearby waterfall. It’s about an hour each way, with plenty of time to rest and take in the surroundings.

Saturday evening, we’ll gather on the Sound of Music Hill for a bonfire and celebration. There will be live music, and if you play or sing, you’re welcome to share your gifts with the group.

The campus itself has a peaceful swimming pond, four groomed hiking trails, and quiet walking paths available throughout the weekend.

The retreat takes place on the picturesque 400-acre campus of the Himalayan Institute, nestled in the serene Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. For over fifty years, the Himalayan Institute has been a sanctuary for those seeking inspiration, personal growth, and inner balance.

Our sessions will primarily focus on Hatha Yoga, deeply rooted in the wisdom of the Himalayan Tradition. You’ll experience a blend of mindful movement, meditation, and restorative practices to support relaxation and renewal. Additionally, we’ll incorporate fitness-style movements aimed at building strength, enhancing vitality, and helping you move beyond physical and mental blocks.

Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, suitable footwear for walking/hiking, and an open mind! A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.

Here’s a typical day:

6:45–8:00 a.m. – Guided Yoga Practice & Meditation
Begin the day with a gentle yet energizing session of yoga and meditation to ground your mind and body.

7:30–8:30 a.m. – Breakfast
Enjoy a nourishing, wholesome meal to fuel your morning.

8:30–10:00 a.m. – Free Time
Take this time for personal practice, quiet reflection, or enjoy the wellness services at PureRejuv.

10:00–11:30 a.m. – Morning Retreat Session
Dive deep into teachings and practices that nurture inner growth and balance.

12:15–12:30 p.m. – Group Meditation & Sri Sukta Recitation (Optional)
Join a group meditation and mantra recitation in the sacred Sri Vidya Shrine.

12:30–1:30 p.m. – Lunch
Savor a delicious meal, prepared with care to support your retreat journey.

2:30–4:00 p.m. – Free Time
Take this time for personal practice, quiet reflection, or enjoy the wellness services at PureRejuv.

4:00–5:00 p.m. – Guided Nature Walk (Optional, weather permitting)
Reconnect with nature and yourself on a peaceful guided walk through the beautiful surroundings.

5:30–6:00 p.m. – Group Meditation & Prayers in the Sri Vidya Shrine
Center yourself with an evening meditation to close the day in gratitude.

6:00–7:00 p.m. – Dinner
Delight in a satisfying dinner to replenish and unwind.

7:30–9:00 p.m. – Evening Retreat Session
End the day with inspiring teachings and practices designed to deepen your experience. (Live music, fire celebration, and more)

10:00 p.m. – Silence Observed
Embrace silence from 10:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., allowing for restful reflection and rejuvenation.

On campus, the MOKA Origins Factory is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
