Do you have a burning desire to learn more about the ancient healing system of yoga? Want to gain in-depth knowledge of asana and the eight limbs of yoga? Inspired to one day be able to share the knowledge of yoga with others? Looking to teach what you love?

The path to transforming others begins with transforming yourself. Immerse yourself in a five month long training to gain everything you need to fulfill your desires and further implement the system of yoga into your life.

You will be led by Heather Rice and Meg Townsend of Amrita Yoga & Wellness, whose partnership provides a multidimensional education based in both classical and tantric yoga. The principles of hatha and vinyasa yoga will be woven throughout the training as we believe that there is more than one path to realizing your highest potential. Join us on this journey to awaken your own inner wisdom and infinite power!

This immersion will provide you with thorough understanding of:

  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Sanskrit and Gita with Manorama
  • Subtle-body energetics
  • Divine sequencing
  • Ayurveda
  • Study of the ancient texts
  • Mantra and meditation
  • Assisting and adjusting
  • Personal practices for self-care
  • Business and ethics of yoga

We will meet in Philadelphia for most of the training. However, we will dive deep into our learning and practices with an eight day retreat at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA. For other dates see the website.

The Sri Vidya Shrine is the spiritual heart of the Himalayan Institute. This sanctuary offers an ideal setting for silent meditation and group spiritual practice, a cornerstone of the Himalayan Tradition for thousands of years. On campus, the MOKA Origins Factory is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
