A perfect little Early Spring retreat on March 22–23 to welcome the change of seasons. Join Nearme Yoga at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale for an overnight stay with the intention to accept change, and embrace the future.

Ready to book a trip? Guest House stay can be purchased here:
for $229 per person, which includes all meals, morning yoga classes, accommodations, and activities. Only 12 beds available in the Guest House.

Sharing a bed in the Guest House? Join us for $400.

Guest House Suite

Chalet-style two-bedroom apartment with private bath; small living room/sitting area with sleeper sofa; kitchenette with refrigerator (no cooking facilities). Sleeps up to 6 guests. Includes A/C.

Working Itinerary:
  • Check in between 4–6:30 pm on March 22:
  • 4 pm Check in
  • 5 pm Meeting in the café, then hike of the grounds (optional) with Scott
  • 6:15 pm Intro and dinner
  • 7:15 pm Chocolate tour at Moka Origins
  • 8 pm Bonfire
  • 9:30 pm Meditation in HI
  • 10 pm Meditation at Guest House
March 23
  • 6 am (optional) Meditation in HI
  • 7 am (optional) Yoga class in HI
  • 8 am Breakfast
  • 9 am Accepting Change yoga flow
  • 11 am Embracing Change
  • 12:30 pm Lunch in HI
  • 1:30 pm Free time for massage/shopping/exploring/hike
  • 2 pm Being the Change and Taking It with You on Your Journey
  • 5 pm Closing
  • 5:30 (optional) Farm-to-table dinner at Nearme Café $30

All other accommodations must be purchased on the Himalayan Institute’s website + Program Fee of $119 + mandatory meal plan fee of $30 per day per person

  • Shared Room: $65/Night/pp. Two twins, shared hall bath. *Solo travelers: If you are traveling alone and have reserved a shared room, we will assign a roommate of the same gender.
  • Standard Room: $130/Night/2p. Full or queen, shared hall bath
  • Deluxe Room: $175/Night/2p. Two twins, full or queen, with private bath
  • Deluxe Suite: $250/Night/2p. Full or queen with pull-out sofa and private bath

Sacred Space
The Sri Vidya Shrine is the spiritual heart of the Himalayan Institute. This sanctuary offers an ideal setting for silent meditation and group spiritual practice, a cornerstone of the Himalayan Tradition for thousands of years. Open to seekers of all backgrounds and traditions, the Shrine provides a serene, sacred space for meditation, quiet reflection, prayer, and contemplation.
Nourishing Meals
Our nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals are thoughtfully prepared to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Each of our three daily meals is designed to be easily digestible and to support a meditative lifestyle. Sharing meals here naturally fosters connection, offering both deep nourishment and a sense of community.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Poconos, the Himalayan Institute’s 400-acre campus offers breathtaking views, scenic hiking trails, and quiet spaces for reflection and contemplation. Walking is a favorite activity, whether along our groomed trails or meandering paved roads, inviting both movement and mindful presence in nature.

Treat Yourself
Our Himalayan Café serves the Institute’s signature chai, coffee, and homemade cookies and treats on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The 24/7 Tea Lounge offers a variety of herbal teas for anytime enjoyment. On campus, the MOKA Origins Factory is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
