An Embodied Experience
October 3–5, 2025
Two Nights, Three Days
Friday at 5:00 PM – Sunday at 11:00 AM
The Himalayan Institute, 952 Bethany Turnpike, Honesdale, PA 18431

Join us for a weekend of inner stillness, sensory awakening, and vibrant autumn beauty. Nestled in the Pocono Mountains during peak foliage season, this retreat offers a deeply restorative experience through:

  • Yoga and meditation
  • Somatic breathwork and mindful movement to support nervous system awareness and regulation
  • Mindfulness hikes and creative activities
  • Tools to support digestion and energy through rhythm, routine, and conscious nourishment

This retreat offers a safe space to be yourself—to feel, to listen, and to reconnect with your inner wisdom. Led by our own Dr. Yana Kofman, a Licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Yoga Therapist, the weekend will weave together gentle yoga, meditation, and breathwork, with her professional sensory-based practices to support nervous system healing and inner transformation.

Emotional Regulation is not about controlling what you feel. It’s about choosing how you respond. We don’t need or want to suppress emotion. We learn the tools for sensing and then for constructive ways to express it.

Held at the Himalayan Institute in the Pocono Mountains during the height of the fall foliage season, this retreat invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect—with your body, your senses, and the natural world.

Bask in the golden leaves, crisp air, and quiet stillness of the season—while discovering your own capacity for balance and renewal.

No prior experience needed
Space is limited to 22 participants

This 3 Day / 2 Night Retreat Includes:

This weekend healing retreat will teach you how to tune into your senses and activate the right-hemisphere sensory pathways using breathwork, mindful movement, Ayurvedic teachings, and relaxation postures. It includes:

  • Lecture and discussions using pragmatic learning of the sensory modulation and connection and how the basic neuroscience of it works.
  • Experiential practices of all the senses woven in throughout the weekend: how to anchor, settle, arrive, and unwind, allowing the nervous system healing to begin.
  • Tools to support energy and digestion through rhythm, routine, and conscious nourishment.

Accommodations include your room, delicious, nourishing meals, and full access to stunning grounds and retreat-center amenities. You will have a variety of room options to choose from.
