Mamas, have you noticed that fulfilling roles as caregivers, nurturers, task managers, and emotional sounding boards can sometimes lead to a sense of disconnection from your own identity? Are you craving a solo or girlfriends’ getaway for an autumn reset that balances opportunities for relaxation and adventure?

Press pause this October while you refill your own cup in a beautiful mountain setting, immersed in crisp air and the glorious colors of peak fall. In the container of the MamaBliss retreat you will have the time and space to reconnect with your full Self and prioritize your own wellness in the supportive company of fellow mothers. Leave refreshed, re-centered, and inspired to incorporate simple, sustainable, self-care practices into your daily life.

Your carefully curated MamaBliss retreat experience:
  • Welcome circle + intention-setting practice
  • Yoga and breathwork sessions (appropriate for all, including beginners and pregnancy)
  • Forest bathing guided nature walk
  • Restorative Yoga Nidra to access deep rest

Your MamaBliss retreat facilitator is Sarah Charlesworth of Surya Moon Yoga: a mother of two, trained and experienced in customizing yoga practices for the full spectrum of motherhood.

Thank you Sarah for crafting and leading the most amazing yoga retreat for mothers. I feel like I “thawed out” the tension in my body, quieted my mind, rebalanced my body with intentional movement, and reconnected with the healing powers of nature. This retreat perfectly balanced time for yoga, solo relaxation, socializing, and outdoor activities. I loved sharing the experience with other mothers at different points in their journey. The yoga nidra session was, arguably, the most relaxed state I have achieved since my daughter was born. I returned home restored!

Sacred Space
The Sri Vidya Shrine is the spiritual heart of the Himalayan Institute. This sanctuary offers an ideal setting for silent meditation and group spiritual practice, a cornerstone of the Himalayan Tradition for thousands of years. Open to seekers of all backgrounds and traditions, the Shrine provides a serene, sacred space for meditation, quiet reflection, prayer, and contemplation.
Nourishing Meals
Our nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals are thoughtfully prepared to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Each of our three daily meals is designed to be easily digestible and to support a meditative lifestyle. Sharing meals here naturally fosters connection, offering both deep nourishment and a sense of community.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Poconos, the Himalayan Institute’s 400-acre campus offers breathtaking views, scenic hiking trails, and quiet spaces for reflection and contemplation. Walking is a favorite activity, whether along our groomed trails or meandering paved roads, inviting both movement and mindful presence in nature.

Treat Yourself
Our Himalayan Café serves the Institute’s signature chai, coffee, and homemade cookies and treats on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The 24/7 Tea Lounge offers a variety of herbal teas for anytime enjoyment. On campus, the MOKA Origins Factory is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
