What Is Panchakarma 2.0?

According to Ayurveda, Panchakarma is one of the most effective treatments in healing disease, clearing toxins, and restoring balance to the body. Because Ayurveda believes all illness arises from toxin (ama) accumulation and energetic imbalances in the body and mind, our Panchakarma programs include foundational comprehensive treatments such as: kitchari fast, daily massage (abhyanga), shirodhara and steam treatments, Basti (enema) and daily yoga.

In Panchakarma 2.0, we have expanded the program to include more cleansing elements: daily Garshana (skin brushing), optional juice fasting, and upper wash (Gajakarani). We’ve also added more energetic and mental cleansing options with pranayama practices and meditative techniques.

Through these comprehensive, yet gentle, purification processes, toxins on all levels are cleared and energies are brought into harmony. Upon completion of the program, you will feel clearer, lighter, energized, and more vibrant in body and mind.

In addition to the cleansing aspects of the program, we’ve also expanded the educational components to include more depth about Ayurvedic principles of health and disease, and about understanding and balancing our doshas.

This advanced Panchakarma program is a new offering, and we look forward to your participation and feedback. We intend for it to be all you have come to expect from past experiences, and more!

To register for the program, call HI Reception at 570-253-5551 x1

This program is offered exclusively to previous participants in the Himalayan Institute’s Panchakarma program.

We look forward to seeing you.

Who Manages the Program?

As with our other Panchakarma Programs, our advanced program is overseen and managed by Dr. Carrie Demers and Dr. Theresa Oswald. Both of our integrative physicians have been supporting patients through detoxification programs and healing processes for many years. Their dedication to empowering individuals to reclaim their inner healing potential is evident in their compassionate and detailed approach to their medical practices. Both Dr. Carrie and Dr. Terri will work closely with you and our retreat team to prescribe customized treatments based on your current mental, physical, and medical condition. They are with you through every step of this cleansing process, encouraging you and supporting you, so that you gain the most benefit from your immersive retreat experience.
