Escape to the Poconos of Pennsylvania and immerse yourself in peace and renewal with the Pocono Retreat Weekend. This getaway retreat offers the perfect opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and rediscover your inner peace through the transformative power of yoga.

Retreat Highlights:
  • Daily Yoga Sessions: Flow through yoga practices designed for all levels, including beginners. Relax, stretch, and center your mind, creating an introspective foundation for your retreat.
  • 90-Minute Hatha Yoga Practicum: Enjoy a transformative 90-minute Hatha Yoga practicum. Learn to refine breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques and tips to incorporate these nourishing and restorative practices into a daily routine at home.
  • Guided Group Hike: Enjoy our 400-acre campus with an optional guided group hike to some of the most beautiful spots. We have five picturesque hiking trails, each offering unique views and varying levels of challenge. Breathe in the fresh air, listen to the sounds of nature, and let your stress melt away. Hike with the group to get oriented, and then explore the remaining trails at your leisure.
  • Saturday Night Bonfire: Experience the magic of a cozy bonfire and tasty s’mores under a star-filled sky. Share stories, make new friends, and enjoy the soothing warmth and ambiance of the fire.
  • Sri Vidya Shrine: Experience quiet moments in our sacred shrine, perfect for meditation and quiet contemplation. Meditation comes easily in this charged space. Let the serene surroundings guide you to deeper spiritual awareness and peace.
  • Nourishing Vegetarian Meals: Our nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals are consciously prepared with the intention to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Our three daily meals are designed to be easily digestible and to support a meditative lifestyle.
  • Optional Wellness Services: Treat yourself to a massage. Call our PureRejuv Wellness Center at (570) 647-1500 to book one of our popular wellness services (subject to availability).

The Sri Vidya Shrine is the spiritual heart of the Himalayan Institute. This sanctuary offers an ideal setting for silent meditation and group spiritual practice, a cornerstone of the Himalayan Tradition for thousands of years. Open to seekers of all backgrounds and traditions, the Shrine provides a serene, sacred space for meditation, quiet reflection, prayer, and contemplation.
Nourishing Meals
Our nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals are thoughtfully prepared to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Each of our three daily meals is designed to be easily digestible and to support a meditative lifestyle. Sharing meals here naturally fosters connection, offering both deep nourishment and a sense of community.

Treat Yourself
Our Himalayan Café serves the Institute’s signature chai, coffee, and homemade cookies and treats on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The 24/7 Tea Lounge offers a variety of herbal teas for anytime enjoyment. On campus, the MOKA Origins Factory is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
