In ancient times, the medicine wheel was a sacred tool used by indigenous cultures for healing, guidance, and spiritual connection. It was a map of the universe, a mirror of the natural world, and a pathway to the soul. The luminous warriors of old would step onto this path with reverence, seeking wisdom and transformation. They believed that within the wheel lay the secrets of life, the power to heal, and the guidance to navigate the challenges of existence.

Today, this powerful tradition remains available to us, inviting us to step onto our own hero’s journey to be guided like shamans so we can be healed and co-create a better world for ourselves, each other, and Mother Earth.

On this special fall weekend, we will work with the powerful archetypal energies of serpent, jaguar, hummingbird, and eagle, each offering unique guidance and support. Together, we will honor this ancient tradition and offer you the opportunity to embark on your own spiritual journey around the medicine wheel.

What Awaits You:
  • Daily Yoga and Meditation: Begin each day with private group yoga sessions and calming meditations, each themed around the four cardinal directions of the medicine wheel—South, West, North, and East. These practices will help you align with the energies of each direction, fostering clarity, healing, courage, and wisdom.
  • Shamanic Journeying: Experience the power of connecting with your power animal, spirit guide, future self, and other insights through shamanic journeying.
  • Self Discovery: Dive into reflective journaling and other engaging exercises to help deepen your personal journey around the medicine wheel. These prompts are thoughtfully designed to help you release old patterns, embrace new beginnings, and connect deeply with your inner self.
  • Shamanic Oracle Cards: Be guided by daily shamanic oracle card readings to gain insights and awakenings.
  • Fire Ceremony to the Four Winds: Experience the power of a transformative despacho fire ceremony to release what no longer serves you.
  • Crystal Bowl Sound Bath and Candle Light Yoga Nidra: Enjoy a gentle restorative yoga class that combines the therapeutic benefits of crystal energy with the calming practice of Yoga Nidra.
  • Time for Meditation and to Connect with Nature: Spend quiet moments in meditation and connect with the natural beauty and wisdom of the Himalayan Institute’s surroundings. Allow the tranquility and healing power of nature to enhance your spiritual journey and provide a space for introspection and renewal.
  • All attendees will also receive a written retreat guide book and retreat gift bag to help deepen their experience. We will also enjoy the healing powers of the crystal bowls throughout the weekend.
