Experience a unique weekend focused on the art of honoring silence. Being in silence and experiencing nature can be our greatest teachers. This guided retreat will help support a total reset for mind, body, and spirit. Many of us are over-stimulated and extremely busy, which can prevent living a life of prolonged peace.

What would happen by slowing down and receiving? The thought of being in silence can feel uncomfortable because it is not a common practice. By experiencing a retreat immersed in nature and listening to the self, transformation can occur.

Participants will come into silenceFriday evening and continue through Sunday morning while exploring guided workshops that are created to deepen a state of self-replenishment. This is ideal for those who are curious about the power of silence or who are feeling burnt out/ stressed. Amy will be speaking to guide the workshops throughout the weekend. Participants will be given a self-care package and a badge of honoring silence.

The Weekend Workshops include:
  • Heart Opening Cacao Ceremonies from Moka Origins
  • Opening Circle of Intention
  • Morning Yoga Asana Practice
  • Crystal Bowl Sound Bath Meditations
  • Guided Visualizations
  • Nature Immersion Practice
  • Journaling Practices
  • Closing Circle of Integration
Research shows the benefit of periods of dedicated silence can:
  • Improve mental clarity
  • Assist in processing emotions
  • Boost the immune system
  • Decrease Stress
  • Increase Creativity
  • Aid in better sleep patterns
  • Silence has been found to stimulate brain growth: In 2013, a study into brain structure and function found that a minimum of two hours of silence could result in the creation of new brain cells in the area of our brains linked to learning and recall.
  • Noise affects our stress levels by raising cortisol and adrenaline. A study in the journal Heart in 2006 found that silence can relieve tension in just two minutes.
  • Silence is more relaxing for your body and brain than listening to music – as measured by a lowering of blood pressure and increased blood flow to the brain.
  • Periods of silence throughout the day enhance sleep and lessen insomnia. We have all heard advice about “winding down” before bed, but few of us apply it to ourselves.
  • Lowering sensory input helps us to restore our cognitive resources. We stop feeling overwhelmed. We can then tap into our creativity and daydream, fantasize, and meditate. When we allow ourselves this quiet reflective time we find that, as Herman Melville wrote, “All profound things and emotions of things are preceded and attended by silence.” – Cited from : www.psychologytoday.com

“Silence is a source of great strength.” – Lao Tzu

“Silence gives us a new way of looking at something.” – Mother Teresa

“In the silence behind what can be heard lies the answers we have been searching for for so long.” – Andreas Fransson

“Everything that’s created comes out of silence. Thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence. Words come out of the void. Your very essence emerged from emptiness. All creativity requires some stillness.” – Wayne Dyer

“Through the portals of silence, the healing sun of wisdom and peace will shine upon you.” – Paramahansa Yogananda
