The Writing Sisters Summit is a Writing and Yoga retreat, created by Nina Foxx, an NAACP Image award-nominated writer, playwright, filmmaker, and registered yoga teacher, intended to bring together writers of color, both male and female, who want to hone their craft with and learn from other writers, and leverage wellness tools to support creativity. Designed to be intimate, the retreat will allow writers one-on-one time to workshop and network and will include sessions that focus on the mind-body connection, yoga, and wellness for literary artists.

The Retreat features yoga, meditation, and Writing Masterclasses tailored to the needs of the attendees.

Faculty members for 2022 include best-selling author and librettist Sheila Williams; children’s author and marketing executive Delanda Coleman; award-winning playwright, poet, storyteller, and producer Alma Davenport; Executive Life & Wellness Coach Monique Dawkins, Ed.D.; and NAACP Image Award Nominee, Film Producer, Playwright and Yoga Teacher Nina Foxx.
