Overview

This Yoga & Hiking Weekend Retreat offers an active yet balanced escape into the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll explore 10-15 miles of scenic trails, hiking through forests, along lakes and rivers, and past waterfalls on the Himalayan Institute’s 400-acre wooded campus as well as nearby Prompton State Park, home to over 20 miles of maintained trails.

Time on the trail is thoughtfully paired with yoga, breath-aligned movement, and meditation practices rooted in breath-connected awareness. These grounding practices support presence, ease, and a deeper connection to both nature and self, creating a rhythm that balances activity with reflection. The pace is steady and accessible, inviting exploration without urgency and making space for restoration alongside movement.

Moving through the landscape together, practicing side by side, and sharing meals naturally fosters a sense of camaraderie. Many participants note how quickly connection forms. Evenings offer time to settle and unwind with gentle practices, quiet reflection, or gathering around a bonfire for conversation, s’mores, and stargazing.

Designed as a rejuvenating getaway, this retreat supports both physical vitality and mental clarity. Whether you’re seeking a reset from daily life, meaningful connections with others, or an intentional way to experience the outdoors, this weekend offers space to move, breathe, and recharge.
