The endocrine system plays a key component in maintaining our health. This system of glands serves us on both a physiological and psychological level and consists of our adrenals, pituitary, pineal, hypothalamus, pancreas, thyroid, parathyroid, and gonads (testes or ovaries).
When these glands are out of balance we may experience lethargy from an underactive or overactive thyroid, stronger menopausal systems, or possibly increased cortisol levels. During this workshop, we will practice postures, breath work, and meditations that identify and tap into the pranic energy of each glandular body and its location.
We’ll learn about the autonomic nervous system and its role, and the function of the glandular body on both a physical and spiritual level.
We will also incorporate Yoga Nidra (sleep yoga) as a way to control stress and balance our endocrine system. Relaxation is the best way to restore and re-energize the body to help maintain our best health and well-being. This workshop is a must for anyone fascinated with the science of the body as well as diving deeper into self-awareness.
