Program Calendar

Are you a 200-hr or 300-hr trained yoga teacher seeking to develop and refine your teaching skills? Then this teacher development retreat is for you!

Teaching yoga inspires us to search for new ideas and techniques, and to grow our own practice along with our students. We’re delighted to share our recent innovations in teaching with you, and excited to enjoy your contributions to this gathering of yoga teachers. Together we’ll explore new techniques and new approaches to teaching, sharpen our skills of observation and language in the classroom, and practice seamless transitions from alignment instruction to breath awareness to pranic awareness and meditation. The enthusiasm and diverse experiences of our staff and your fellow teachers offer a rare opportunity to broaden, deepen, and refine both your practice and your teaching.

Take time out to refresh and inspire yourself with the support of the Himalayan Institute’s lush campus and vibrant community. You’ll find time for reflection and contemplation while enjoying the beauty of our rural campus in the company of our like-minded community. Enjoy freshly prepared vegetarian meals, chat with fellow students over tea, visit the Sri Vidya shrine, hike our forest trails, tour Moka Origins and sample their chocolate and coffee, browse our bookstore, or simply savor quiet time.

If you have completed the Himalayan Institute’s 200-hour or 300-hour yoga teacher training program—or any other 200-hour or 300-hour teacher training program—this retreat is designed just for you. Join us to deepen your practice and reinvigorate your teaching!

This retreat includes:
  • Daily morning asana and meditation practice guided by Himalayan Institute faculty
  • Daily prayers and chants
  • Teaching and practice for pranic awareness
  • Q&A and breakout sessions
  • Plenty of time for face to face social connection with fellow teachers and Himalayan Institute faculty and staff
  • Appointments with faculty as requested

Join us and refresh your commitment to teaching and practice, and enjoy satsanga with fellow Institute teachers and residents in our spiritual home!
