Overview

Vishoka Meditation reveals its deepest potential when practiced progressively and immersively within a vibrantly awakened sacred space. This retreat is born from that inspiration.

Participants will enjoy a thoughtfully designed series of progressive, guided practices with Ishan and Shari, focused on deepening pranic awareness and awakening access to the ajna chakra and beyond. These sessions integrate Vishoka-style asana, pranayama, and relaxation as powerful catalysts for accelerating our core practice of Vishoka Meditation.

The retreat includes guided practice of Vishoka Meditation Level 1 techniques, along with select advanced practices drawn from the Vishoka Meditation Self-Mastery Series. This program is open to all practitioners who have completed the Vishoka Meditation Course.

Infused throughout the retreat is the spirit of svadhyaya—study and self-reflection—which elevates both practice and understanding. Participants will enjoy inspired wisdom reflections, discussion circles, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue and Q&A.

While practice forms the heart of this retreat, the schedule is thoughtfully balanced with ample time to rest, enjoy the tranquility of the Himalayan Institute’s Khajuraho campus, and explore the region through day trips to the Khajuraho temples, the Panna Tiger Reserve, and the town of Khajuraho.

Retreat Highlights:
  • Progressive, immersive guided Vishoka Meditation practices, supported by Vishoka-style asana, pranayama, and systematic relaxation
  • Daily group meditation and personal practice time in the Sri Vidya Shrine, an extraordinarily supportive space for meditative practice

Our Collective Experience

At the cornerstone of this retreat is a shared group experience—practicing together, sharing meals, participating in daily rhythms, and, for many, living in shared spaces on campus. This kind of collective immersion is deeply supportive of Vishoka Meditation, inviting us to bring clarity, steadiness, and presence not only to formal practice, but to the way we relate with one another throughout the day.

Living and learning in community offers a meaningful opportunity to extend our yoga practice into lived experience. It encourages openness, mutual respect, and a spirit of goodwill, allowing each participant to contribute to an atmosphere of quiet support and shared purpose. When we arrive with generosity of heart and a willingness to meet one another with patience and care, the community itself becomes a powerful support for inner clarity and deepened personal practice.
