Jen Dean, RYT 500, is a wife, mom, and public school teacher who is passionate about sharing the science of mindfulness & yoga with those around her to become the best version of themselves. Jen earned her BA in Biological Sciences and her MAT Biology from Binghamton University and believes understanding the anatomy and physiology of the brain is the key to changing habit patterns, rewiring neural circuits, and cultivating resilience; Jen loves to share how we can tap into our own innate abilities to design the lives we want and deserve to live.
As a practitioner of yoga and mindfulness for over 25 years, Jen believes education is the best platform to share these useful and practical tools and finds that her own practice keeps her inspired, productive, and creative, and is essential to maintaining her work-home life balance as a busy mom and educator.
Jen strives to inspire and teach others how to integrate yoga and mindfulness into their lives allowing them to be aware, present, efficient, and reflective. She is a Himalayan Institute certified yoga teacher and has taught retreats for the NY State Master Teacher Program. Jen teaches science and yoga at Whitney Point High School; she has created in-school and extracurricular classes and activities to help students learn the tools and techniques to navigate this crazy world!
Jen also teaches yoga privately and in group settings; she has previously taught in many yoga studios including her own, “Sacred Space”; she has found that her real passion is helping others to not only experience the benefits of yoga and meditation, but learn to access these benefits on their own. Jen loves to learn about anything science and likes to use real-world experiences and personal stories to teach from. She is truly passionate about helping others feel good and spread good!
