Laurane McGlynn, PsyD

Dr. Laurane McGlynn, Clinical Director of the Center for Counseling and Wellness, received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. McGlynn's advanced education also includes a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Human Services and a Master's Degree in Child and Adolescent Therapy. In addition, she has earned certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mind/Body Medicine, Body-Centered Psychotherapy, and Holotropic Breathwork. She is also a musician, author, and graduate psychology professor and has years of practice in energy psychology.

For the past 15 years, Dr. McGlynn has been collaborating with medical and naturopathic doctors and holistic practitioners to provide a mind/body-centered psychotherapeutic approach to working with physical and psychological issues.

Dr. McGlynn specializes in working with individuals with mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, chronic medical illness, and cancer. She combines her clinical training with years of study in breathwork, mindfulness-based approaches to treatment, shamanism, transpersonal psychology, meditation, and relaxation techniques.

Dr. McGlynn has earned licensure as a psychologist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Her work is heart-centered, compassionate, intuitive, and empowering.
