Tara Elliot

Tara Elliot, MA, LPC, CSAT, CCTP II, RYT (she/her), is a Licensed Professional Counselor who takes a holistic approach to therapy by integrating the mind, body, and, when desired, spirit into the healing process through breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Tara is a 200hr-Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and is in the process of receiving her 500 RYT with additional training in Yin Yoga as well as Ayurvedic Nutrition Certification. She is a Heart Rhythm Meditation teacher & mentor with the Institute of Applied Meditation. Tara is also a Certified Art Therapist and is working toward certification in Hypnotherapy. When Tara embarked on her personal healing journey, she realized the need for a space of empowered, deep healing and transformation.

She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Tara specializes in creating a safe, supportive environment to explore many of life's difficulties including complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship/attachment issues, self-esteem, chronic illness, loss and grief, mood disorders, and spiritual issues. Tara is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.

Clients feel safe and supported by Tara while moving through their healing process.​ Tara uses an integral approach using different approaches and techniques tailored to everyone’s needs, supporting the whole person with a mind-body-spirit approach. Working together, they strive to increase self-awareness and facilitate the process of psychological and emotional healing. She believes human beings are remarkable and resilient.

Tara looks at an individual and sees a whole person in front of her, not symptoms or a diagnosis. She does this with compassion, understanding, empathy, and unconditional positive regard for individuals and their stories. We work together to facilitate deep healing and gain greater self-awareness
