Digestion is an essential step of rejuvenation. If a meal, an experience, or an emotion is not well-digested, then we can’t be nourished by it. In fact, we could instead be burdened by it. A holistic approach to digestion prompts us to consider the immense task of assimilating all that we “eat,” including discrimination with respect to what we ingest, and elimination of what is not useful. This talk explores the concept of the digestive fire (agni), the benefits we receive when it is strong, and how to keep it that way.
