Nourishing is the final step in the rejuvenation process. The other two steps, cleansing and strengthening agni, pave the way for efficient and thorough fortification. Clearing out toxins makes more room for nutrients to enter cells and tissues, and strengthening our digestive fire ensures that we will assimilate the nutrients well. This cycle is self-supporting, as sustenance provides energy for these two processes. Nourishment is available in a variety of forms: food, plant medicines, relationships, nature, sleep, the arts (like music and poetry), ritual and spiritual practices. We can maintain our vitality and enthusiasm by creating habits that attend to these three essential processes – so life feels good!
