Alchemy In Action

The ancient alchemical tradition of Ayurveda, known as rasayana, rests on the principle that a skillfully composed union is greater than the sum of its parts. This is the starting point for our formulations, as the alchemy emerging from the union of intentionally-curated herbs is qualitatively much greater than what the active ingredients of the herbs themselves represent.

Alchemy in Action emerges when wisely-selected individual herbal ingredients are combined in a manner that creates an altogether new reality, which is distinct from what the constituents can independently bring forward. The alchemical process, at face value, begins with a simple-looking combination of herbs. But it completes only when those herbs and their active ingredients are fully integrated.

When this happens, alchemical formulations can have an immediate yet lasting impact on our well-being. Based on the knowledge gathered from the alchemical tradition of Ayurveda, Siddha medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Unani medicine, we seek to integrate the herbs in our formulations, so they may have the desired effect on our body and mind.

Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD

Chairman & Spiritual Head

Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD, is a modern-day master and living link in the unbroken Himalayan Tradition. He is the successor to Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas, and the spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute. As the author of numerous books, including his autobiography Touched by Fire: The Ongoing Journey of a Spiritual Seeker, Pandit Tigunait offers practical guidance on applying yogic and tantric wisdom to modern life. For over 40 years he has touched innumerable lives around the world as a teacher, humanitarian, and visionary spiritual leader.

Pandit Tigunait holds two doctorates: one in Sanskrit from the University of Allahabad in India, and another in Oriental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Family tradition gave Pandit Tigunait access to a vast range of spiritual wisdom preserved in both the written and oral traditions. Before meeting his master, Pandit Tigunait studied Sanskrit, the language of the ancient scriptures of India, as well as the languages of the Buddhist, Jaina, and Zorastrian traditions. In 1976, Swami Rama ordained Pandit Tigunait into the 5,000-year-old lineage of the Himalayan Masters.
