Meghan Dwyer

Meghan Dwyer is a yoga teacher, shamanic guide, ceremonialist, and women’s circle facilitator residing in and raised by the waters and Wissahickon woods of Lenapehoking/Philadelphia. She’s been practicing yoga since 2003 and in 2009 completed her first 200-hour teacher training at Blue Banyan Yoga Studio in Philadelphia. In 2013 she graduated from Kelly Morris’ 300-hour Conquering Lion Yoga Teacher Training in NYC, which combined Jivamukti Yoga with elements of Tibetan Buddhism, South American Shamanism, and the Divine Feminine. She is also certified in Yin Yoga, trained by Corina Benner in Levels 1 and 2. Meghan was a Senior Member of Yoga Home’s Teaching Team for many years. She now primarily offers gentle hatha, yin, and restorative yoga – she invites students to slow down, to feel deeply, and to be gentle and compassionate with themselves. Her gifts include creating space for others to listen to the quiet wisdom embodied in the rhythm of their own hearts and to remember that their true nature is that of Mother Nature. The soul of Meghan’s work ultimately lies in honoring the sanctity of the Earth as Mother as well as following the wisdom of the Moon as Grandmother. She loves creating beauty & sacred space and weaving ritual and ceremony back into the fabric of our communities. Meghan previously owned a yoga retreat business and is excited to start offering retreats again after a six-year hiatus!
