Manipura Chakra: The Secret of Tantric Alchemy

Date | September 29–October 2, 2016

This program has a single focus: sankalpa siddhi, awakening the power of will and determination and manifesting our intention. It centers around an in-depth study of the scriptures Tripura Rahasya and Yoga Vasishtha, as well as select sutras from the Yoga Sutra and the Shiva Sutra, and is designed to make the esoteric evident.

Centuries of yogic experiences have conclusively demonstrated that the manipura chakra, the solar plexus, is the center of the body’s most extensive network of energy channels. Our vitality, strength, passion for life, intensity of sense pleasure, self-confidence, and assertiveness are always in direct proportion to the vibrancy of the manipura chakra. Access to and mastery over the manipura chakra fuels both our psycho-physical health and our spiritual growth.

Highlights include:

  • Eliminating impurities that disrupt the normal functions of our body, cause diseases, and dull our mind
  • Replenishing our internal organs and re-establishing the mutually supportive functions of our bodily systems
  • Optimizing the flow of prana shakti, mantra shakti, and the psycho-energetic juices, known as soma rasa, through our energy channels and chakras
  • Clearing the path to sankalpa siddhi, the power to materialize our will and determination
  • Using asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, and herbs to unfold our sankalpa shakti, the indomitable power of will and incorruptible intention
  • Applying rasayana, the techniques of tantric alchemy, to accelerate our practice of asana, pranayama, and mantra japa
  • Training our limbs, organs, bodily systems, and mental faculties to hear and heed our sankalpa
  • Taking our practice to the point where the innate power of our body and mind is awakened—gaining firsthand experience of our own sankalpa shakti as the source of boundless energy, knowledge, and creativity

Yoga Sadhana in the Light of Agni Vidya, the Science of Inner Fire

5-Day Retreat

Date | October 2–October 7, 2016

Agni vidya, loosely translated as the science of inner fire, is an inseparable part of Sri Vidya. It has long been the core specialty of the masters of the Siddha and Natha traditions. By using the techniques of agni vidya, yogis in these traditions have gained extraordinary control over their body and mind, and cultivated healing power beyond our ken. Agni vidya, also known as surya vijnana, solar science, has been the cardinal practice for the student on the path of Aghora, the most miraculous and startling of all tantric paths.

In this retreat, we’ll introduce practices grounded in agni vidya and help you further refine the techniques you learned in the weekend intensive. In addition to practicums, you’ll be provided with extensive handouts to help you take your practices of hatha yoga, pranayama, meditation, gayatri mantra, maha mrityunjaya mantra, or navarna mantra, for example, to a new height. This is your opportunity to immerse yourself in an aspect of yoga which is often dismissed as too esoteric, and so is rarely taught.

This retreat is a summary of the experiences shared in the scriptures Tripura Rahasya, Yoga Vasishtha, Netra Tantra, Yogini Hridaya, and Katha Upanishad. You will have an opportunity to receive personal guidance from Panditji, deepen your personal practice, assess the pace of your personal growth, and decide if it is time to bring your practice to a greater focus, or add something to it to make it more effective.

This practice-driven workshop is designed for those who have studied The Secret of the Yoga Sutra and the Yoga Sutra Master Course or taken the Living Tantra or Sage programs with Panditji. Email [email protected] for prerequisite details.
