De-stress and reset at this special getaway weekend at the Himalayan Institute in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. Along with gentle yoga, we’ll focus on essential practices from the Himalayan tradition to systematically release tension, wind down, and turn off the busy, chattering mind. The resulting alert inner stillness in the body and mind is deeply rejuvenating—beyond the rest available by ordinary means. Much more than mere distraction, this accessible practice is the gateway to profound unconditional well-being, deeper levels of awareness, and meditation.

In addition to the happiness of yoga practice, your retreat at the Himalayan Institute offers nourishing vegetarian meals, a community supportive of your well-being, time to enjoy ayurvedic treatments, massage, or integrative health consultations at our PureRejuv Wellness Center, and hikes through our beautiful 400-acre campus. Join us at the Himalayan Institute for your HI Essentials Retreat!

  • Practice a systematic method of reaching a state of deep rejuvenation in just 10 minutes
  • Learn about the nature of relaxation from both the yogic and the physical perspectives
  • Design a sustainable at-home practice
  • Enjoy twice daily community prayers in the Sri Vidya Shrine
  • Join like-minded friends and students at a chai social and evening campfire
  • Enjoy daily guided yoga practices
